seems like the last two weeks has been the time of revisiting things.
it started with last Friday, my 1 Month mapping for my new CI. I know at one point I have said how awesome my team is, and that is no exaggeration. I still feel this way, even though I had a different Audiologist this time. She seems sweet and caring when you first meet her. She even lulls you into submission with her charm…..THEN she gets you, she smiles as she shuts the door to the Booth- this can’t be bad you tell yourself. BAM! The sentences come, in noise, being read by the Muppets Swedish Chef!😜 what the h#$@ was that????
But this time, decided to fight back. They always tell you to repeat what you hear, so I did.. I wish I would have taken a picture when I repeated “Bersk de burst de due!”😂😂😂
the the weekend hit, and I was informed that we would be expanding our chicken flock. So we spent time getting ready for them. But, I managed to sneak in some time to finish my first true knife from forging.. that the picture- it started out as a 5/8” piece of round stock (used as a track bar from an old sliding device) 1095 Steel (that is decently good material for a knife) I used hickory for the handle with Stainless Steel pins- actually they wear bolts that I drilled and tapped in the tang of the knife. Then finished the handle with pine tar heated into the hickory and polished with boiled linseed oil.
so fast forward to this week, and yet again visiting something I have dealt with before. A couple years ago, I helped some friends convert a van into a Chevy Step Side Truck. I will have to put pics up later – I even made the bumper. Anyway, the owner was cruising on 465, and got rear ended 😳 thankfully everyone was okay, and the bumper did its job, but now it needs a new one🤔 so hopefully we will have some new pics soon.
Also, stay tuned for the smoker build- the metal for that project came in this weekend too😁
