Climbing Past Limits

We all have limits, some of us have more than others. My hearing has limited me in my life- has changed the direction of my career and more. That can be good and bad, I would not be where I am today and would not have the opportunities of family and friends that I have now if it were not for the limits set by my hearing loss. So, I choose to look at the good in every situation- it’s how I deal with set backs. But recently, I have been afforded the opportunity to try out for the local volunteer Fire Department as a driver. Today, I got to do the physical test. My hearing did not hinder that at all, and was able to keep up with the kids almost 30 years younger than meπŸ˜œπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Best part, I got to climb an aerial!! To be honest, I was worried, vertigo is a side effect of the CI- no issues today! So this morning, I climbed past my limits and hope I get to do more.
