Been a tad bit busy😜 The EMT class is getting close to the end, so a lot of time with that, and several fire runs and training thrown in to spice things up!

This was probably one of my favorite attempts in the forge. Tried some new techniques with this one, a little more heat and a lot more patience. Taking a trick off Forged in Fire, I used a magnet to make sure I had the right temp to quench- when the steel is no longer magnetic, it means that the right amount of carbon has been brought up to make the steel harder after a quench. i am very pleased with how well this blade is holding an edge. I also decided to play with making serrations on the spine- getting closer to finding a blade design i really like. The handle isn’t done yet, and this one is going to have special treatment.

I also have found a really awesome custom leather guy close to home, Box 31 Custom Leather is firefighter owned and specializes in leather products for firefighters. He made my suspenders 😁

Hopefully, we will soon have a sheath for the new knife😁
I also did an interview with a pod cast for a Cochlear Implant web host. It was an honor to get to talk with him about how my implants have really allowed me to branch out and gain more confidence. When he gets it produced, I will post a link.
Hopefully next week I can post more pics of the finished blade!
I finished the ramp, and it turned out pretty well. The brake worked like a charm after the up grades😜
