Okay, like a broken record-Holy Crap does time fly!! All the old people always warn you, and you just laugh and think, “yea, yea. Whatever”🙄 dag nabbit if they ain’t right!! (That grammatically correct sentence was for my mother, who read that and fainted 😜🤣🤣)
The oldest Munchkin is in college-way to far away, so a couple weekends were lost traveling to see her😁 The youngest Munchkin has Type 1 Diabetes, and let me tell you that it has been a roller coaster ride! The doctor is happy because we’ve kept her out of the hospital, but dude doesn’t have to live with the aftermath of the highs and lows. 😞 She didn’t get to complete marching band, but she is here and doing a little better🤞😁
Soooo, who would have thought our little town would have one of if not the busiest volunteer Fire Department’s in the State!! Work, training, and calls(runs) can take an amazing amount of time, so I have done the only thing I could do and added an EMT class to the mix!!😜🤦 it has been amazing, my wife’s support is truly a blessing! But it hasn’t been all work, we had some fun on Halloween 🎃 😁
It’s taken me a couple weeks to come to grips with the fact that my Amazing Audiologists has left. I’m over my selfish pout and can be proud and excited for her future-she is bettering herself and her family, and that is a great thing! I can say I was blessed to have her take care of me in a critical time of my hearing journey. I will miss her and think of her every time I hear something new, but she gave me the tools to succeed and Fire that I will forever be indebted. Thank you A❤️
And that leads up to what sparked me to get back at this. Never stop learning or challenging yourself! Not too long ago Jami and I started taking ASL classes-because one of us is deaf😜 anyway, I was able to tell our teacher that not only had she changed our lives, but it touched others because I was able to help on an run. You never know when something that may seem trivial or inconvenient might turn out to be really life changing. Never stop being an advocate, it does make a difference. Oh, and have fun along the way😁🤣🤣
