So, missed a couple Sundays-was way busy having fun with the Family. If you ever get a chance to hang out on a beach for a week, I highly recommend Marco Island Florida-beautiful peaceful and relaxing!! Best Ice Cream shop I have ever been-my wife made sure we checked it out everyday 😜
Also, for the first time I HEARD the ocean!! It was pretty amazing!! They make waterproof covers called an Aqua Kit for my CI’s so I was able to swim and snorkel with the Munchkins AND hear them!! Totally out of this world!!😁😎🎉

The Fire Department has been really busy as well, learning a lot of new skills and how to work on equipment and trucks-all the things I love😜 Anything that is mechanical will eventually break-that includes fire trucks. We had an electrical issue on a run and had to have it towed back to the station. To tow it, they had to remove the drive shaft, so of course we had to put it back in. It was actually really cool, and I learned to I really need a PLASTIC creeper-my ears kept jumping off my head and sticking to the metal runners! And to top it off, I kept reaching up to put them back with greasy hands, so my head was covered in grease 😂😂😂
Getting down to it, FINALLY got a good start on the smoker this weekend. The two guys Im building it for were awesome enough to come help out, and so far it is shaping up to be pretty cool!😎 according to their calculations, they should be able to smoke 100 pork butts at one time!!! I don’t know about all that, but I know I fit😜😂😂

Basically we took an old trailer and are modifying it to hold this 36” diameter smoker that is going to be over 10’ long when it done!! I made the hinges, so was excited to see they worked just like I wanted them to. The heat plate/smoke baffle is half way in-it’s sloped to the center and to the front 2” drain with a ball valve to catch the grease. There are a lot of custom little details that I think are going to be really cool.

Hopefully more to come! Next weekend is a big step, Freshman Orientation at college for the Oldest Munchkin!
