What a week, followed by a weekend I certainly hadn’t expected!😁Big plans to spend Friday night/Saturday at our camper. The Oldest Munchkin (leaves for college in August) wanted us to hang with her at home, so realizing this is soon to come to an end, we ran home to have a nice evening with her. We planned on returning to the camper early morning, but everything happens for a reason.😜 Saturday morning I got to go on my first fire run here!1😁😁 Thankfully, it was an illegal burn and no one was hurt or really lost anything, but it was the perfect training opportunity as we had to use 9 tanker trips to keep the water going. I was super excited, not only for the run, but the fact that my CI worked really well and I was able to communicate even with all the noise.
Sunday was to be a chill day, do a little cleaning at the station, and do a couple small weld jobs for some friends. My easy little couple hour jobs turned into all day, as we got three runs back to back!!!😮 Eventually, I got them done. One was repair a lift gate, and the other was move 3-point hitch mounts on a rake for a tractor. All in all, not a bad week. Looking forward to the new one as my Oldest Munchkin has her Top 10% Banquet and I get the rest of my gear😁😁 Can’t wait to see what we get into next!1😜😂
